Kolymbia on the Greek Island of Rhodes

Rhodes Kolymbia

Kolymbia is a small village on the East Coast of the Greek Island of Rhodes. It was originally built by the Italians, designed to be a model farm village.

Mid-way between Rhodes Town and Lindos, Kolymbia today is fairly quiet resort, much of the activity confined to the hotel complexes. Kolymbia is best known for a number of all inclusive holiday complexes which provide absolutely everything.

Perhaps because of the high proportion of All Inclusive holiday makers, the resort itself hasn't grown in the same way others nearby have. There are still only a handful of bars and restaurants in the resort. There is however, a very good selection of water sports on Kolymbia Beach.

There's a great selection of All Inclusive hotel's, and it's worth noting that the Atlantica Imperial Resort stays consistantly top for holiday reviews, and from May 2011 will be part of the Thomson Couples range. For an All Inclusive holiday with kids, the Rhodes Holiday Village at Kolymbia scores very highly and is packed with features such as 5 swimming pools and lots of Kids activities.

The beach at Kolymbia is wide, and the sea remains shallow for a good distance so is popular with families.

If you are looking for an all inclusive holiday on the beautiful Greek Island of Rhodes, with guaranteed perfect weather from June to September, in a quiet location but a great base for exploring further, then Kolymbia is perhaps the perfect Greece holiday for you.
